Writer, author; once upon a time I was a yoga teacher.

“The Yoga Manifesto is about equality, creativity and revolutionary hope - and you definitely don’t need to practice yoga to know these things matter”.

The Yoga Manifesto

Nadia Gilani is a writer who also taught yoga for many years. Her mum took her to her first class when she was 16 and she didn’t even want to go!

Suffice to say, yoga wasn’t always an easy ride. In fact she fell in and out of love with it many times, but somehow the practice remained in her life in some shape or form for a long time.

The so-called wellness industry that surrounded it however became a problem.

Nadia’s first book
The Yoga Manifesto, weaves together memoir about her ever-changing relationship with yoga and critique on the practice’s problematic relationship with the modern world.
